Robert Eaton, Creative Director at Russell Eaton salons in Leeds and Barnsley, has been announced as a nominee for the converted Hairdresser’s Journal British Hairdresser of the Year title, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional. As the current title holder, it is the second consecutive year for Robert to be nominated by his peers and top tier hair experts for what can only be described as the hair industry’s ultimate accolade.
Joining Robert is an impressive line-up of the country’s best known and loved hairdressers, who will now compete for the title of HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year 2020.
Commenting on his nomination, Robert said, “Winning the award last year was an incredible moment and real highlight in my career. I’m delighted to be nominated once again British Hairdresser of the Year, alongside the brilliant line-up for 2020.”
As the Creative Director at Russell Eaton salons, Robert Eaton is one of the nation’s most dynamic hairdressers. Robert has been recognised in the British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame twice, for winning both the titles of Schwarzkopf Professional Colour Technician of the Year and North Eastern Hairdresser of the Year three times each. Robert is also Vice-President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing.

These images will be judged by a panel of industry experts before announcing the winner at an awards ceremony on Monday 30th November 2020 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane, unless advised otherwise.

When will the winner be revealed? The title of HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year has been significant in the journeys of many hairdressing household names including Trevor Sorbie, John Frieda, Anthony Mascolo, Nicky Clarke, Charles Worthington, Beverley C and Andrew Barton. We shall find out who joins this elite bastion of hairdressers at this year’s British Hairdressing Awards on 30th November 2020 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, a JW Marriott Hotel.
