Oscars Hair 2019

Hair is the greatest fashion accessory, many celebrities really embrace changing their hair to enhance their look but also to grab the attention of the media! There is nowhere we see this more than at the Oscars.

It has been great to see how celebrities are experimenting more and we are seeing shorter hair cuts and colour changes! We are all still ‘Balayage’ obsessed at the moment, it works so well for so many people, but these stronger shapes and colours are also an amazing option for many.

Charlize Theron made a huge statement with her new brunette hair at the Oscars which is an incredible new and strong statement look. This isn’t the first time the Academy Award winner has had brown hair, but we haven’t seen her as anything other than her signature blonde in years.

This wasn’t the only major hair transformation seen at this year’s Oscars. Emilia Clarke also debuted a short chestnut brown hair colour on the red carpet, having dyed it back from blonde.
The Game of Thrones star has had blonde hair for the better part of a year, but has made a return to her roots for Hollywood’s biggest night. News reports said that Clarke allegedly dyed her hair herself using boxed hair dye from the pharmacy, can this be done at home?….No! It can be a very complex process when changing your hair colour and needs to be achieved by a professional, where they can advise you on the correct tone for your skin and ensure you achieve colour perfection. Very dark hair can be draining on some people, but adding warmth and tone can make darker hair work for many!

Emma Stone

Also wore a warm copper brunette shade making this years Oscars the year of the glossy bob.

Jennifer Lopez

Gold was another big trend on the Oscars red carpet, and Jennifer Lopez pulled it off the only way she knows how: Fiercely, with her hair blown out and styled in side-swept waves that hark back to Old Hollywood.

Glenn Close

Style was not just for those in their younger years; Glenn Close wore a super modern and long grown out pixie cut, it was styled in soft, tousled waves.
